Milestone Weigh In!

Having lost 2 pounds last week after multiple consecutive weeks of 4 pounds or more I didn't know what to expect today. I changed nothing in my diet and exercise over the last 6 weeks including this week except for a couple of days of swimming in a friends pool.

This week I lost 5 pounds! A nice round number that gets my total weight loss so far to the 50 pound mile stone! I am half way to 100 pounds, and I am 10 pounds away from the 50% mark of my 120 pound weight loss goal.

I've been riding my bike about 4 to 5 hours per week. I'd say half the time I ride steady and easy and the other half I am pushing hard. I have some weights but I haven't been doing any exercises with them. Thats something I am going to incorporate into my regime soon. Now that the weather is nice I can hopefully get some exercise outside in the fresh air too. Still considering getting an outside bike.

March weigh ins total : 14 pounds lost
April weigh ins total : 17 pounds lost
May weigh ins total : 19 pounds lost

Twelve week total : 50 pounds lost!!

  1. Congrats! I wish I could have your amazing rate of success.

  2. That is so awesome! I am proud of you. Enjoy this feeling, my friend.

  3. MM AWESOME!!!! Is all I can say :) What a wonderful way to round out your 12 weeks :)

  4. Woohoo! Your body is a fantastic machine, Markus! I pulled my old bike out of the garage a few days ago, and I'm thinking about getting into outdoor riding, too. It sounds like fun!

    Great job. :)

  5. P.S. - It's super cool that we reached 50 pounds at the same time!! I'm a little jealous you did it so quick! Haha :)

  6. Wow "Marcus", great job! Congrats on the 50. Keep ridin' the bike!

  7. Thanks for the comment today Marcus, and fantastic job on the first 50!!! I was blown away when I looked at those totals for each month. You absolutely ROCK! And I'll be mentioning you in my post tonight...hope you don't mind! :)

  8. You should totally get an outside bike! (I don't know where you live, but if you can find some nice trails, there's nothing better!) I also like biking outside because I generate my own wind, so it doesn't feel so hot and humid in the summer... until I stop.

Good work! (And I'm impressed you sew.)

  9. Hi Marcus - Found you from Tammy. You are really doing a great job with this and clearly working hard. My snarky self wants to say that because you're a guy you lose weight more easily, but it's pretty obvious you're doing what needs to be done! I'll be following you to watch you go down the scale, and hopefully I'll be going down too!
